Faster--

A drum
Weeping
Throbbing
Exploding

Faster--
A blur of colors
A thick
Dense fog
Faster
The world’s lights fade away
Faster
But not the voice
Faster
They damage the white canvas
FASTER
Ripping tearing shredding
Faster
Last breath escapes
Faster
The world is gone
Faster
Faster
Slower
A flow of air ignites the flame
Slower
The dark clock gives way

Slower

Think fog blown away

Slower
As the drum beats strong and steady

Life gave meaning

I never want to go that fast again
