Oh when my soul wanders upon the sea
And I wildly upon this tempest thrown.
Oh and life I live of guilt and shame
and my soul is weary of rag and bone.

Oh how my soul seems like a lost star
whose dying light flickers among the clouds
and the curtain seems to fall on life's stage
when life's lost all that remains is a shroud.

And with a storm tossed sea and death so near
a grave as deep as the sea for me.
Oh I tremble in the shadow of fear
and I am adrift upon a dark sea.

Oh in my mind I see your sweet star.
Oh you shine to me and my soul is still.
