Light Heart

I think a child

is the only one who knows pure happiness,

yet is the only one

who doesn't know how to recognize it.

I strive to be happy like a child,

yet living in a broken world puts up barriers in my head.

I yearn to be light spirited,

to never let my positive ideas

succumb to the wishes of the world.

I hope society never gets to me,

forcing me to work for materialistic things.

I hope I never forget how important hapiness is.

In questioning what you want to be,

question what makes you happy.

Live like a child at heart.

Find the positive; the happiness in every situation.
