Us – and them...
In war or peace,
We’re only ordinary men.

Us – and them...
Love’s rose will bloom,
Or else lie broken on the stem.

You – and me...
We walk in chains,
Or choose the path that sets us free.

You – and me...
Have one last chance
To make the world as it should be.

“Forward!” the generals cry from the rear
And the soldiers proceed;
Killing and dying in no-man’s land
For corporate greed.

Up – and down...
While people starve,
The arguments go round
And round and round
And round...

Fear – and doubt...
And in the end,
That’s what the fighting’s all about.

Rich – and poor...
Link hands and say
That this can’t happen anymore.

Let’s cut it down to a battle of words
And then understand;
The truth will survive and we’ll all stay alive,
It’s in our hands...
