Mine...?

I thought you were mine to lose.. You, my knight..me,your muse.. and every evening seemed to be an entanglement of your soul with mine.. and every glass of wine, a holy communion... a reunion of minds separated by a day of resurrected reality.. the dispirited admittance of drowsy sensibility... And then at night, when bird calls broke the heat, every passing moment the reflection of your heart beat I had thought I knew what it was to long for your intertwined fingers... The smiles in your eyes on the evening that lingers... But dreams, dreams dreams, the meandering of those deafening screams... And now i roam the lanes at night and look in through windowpanes where love and candles light the room and I lean on the edge of my broom and smile a grimace with the missing soul, and look in at the gaping hole... And then curl up on my side of the nightmare, don't worry I'm used to a scare.... And maybe I'll sleep and wake and slice another vein.. But don't worry,it hurts less than the consciousness, the caffeine...
