I’d give up my mind in order for you to keep yours.
I’m getting to the quiet hiccup before the sob,
But the sunlight isn’t too bright that I have to get up and close the blinds.

When I get this sad,
I feel my arms begin to fall asleep.
I feel my legs begin to fall asleep.

Pull your cheek away from your face and exhale
And when you begin to sound like the wind against the trees,
Remind yourself that you are your own enemy
But you don’t have to be.
