The sun shares its light with the shadow of the deep
Songs erupt with nightengales in flight
On gentle wings lit from moonbeams
Sweet lakes in the mirth of morning
Creatures rise scrubbing their faces
Escaping the grasp blanketing the earth
The Chippewa bask in their dancing
Toe stepping to ancient melodies
Clothed in rain drops, echoes rise
Become, become, become
Memories ache from the past
But yonder the voices call out
You are now, you are the day
Mountains shield you, valleys bed the night
While the sun and moon wait
Broken are your songs leaving
Come sip water from the leaf and refresh
Dine in a valley of roses and rise again
The sun shares its light with the shadow of the deep
