The Forest
Poems
Apr 2013
the wild tiger
through the blizzard
powerful eyes meet mine
a fur coat of stripes, fit for winter
and her majesty of brilliant summers
long gone
I take a cautious breath
and soon enough
she has turned
to her ice queen palace
on the hill
where the dove is white
and red
and the image
that
stays
with me
are her eyes
cold, hard, curious, cautious, and, a little humorous
