Life is a lot like cartoons.
You thought you understood things when you actually didn't.
You thought everything was nice and peachy but it actually wasn't.
You laughed at all the jokes you could never fully understand.
Do you remember being a child full of curiosity?
Asked so many questions just to get the same answer,
"You'll understand when you're older"
Well now that you understand things was it worth it?
You can understand all the sick jokes.
You know all the cruel stories behind everything.
Realized the creators used them to their own benefits.
Was it worth losing all the innocence?
I honestly want to go back.
Back to when I was younger.
When I could watch the cartoons without the subliminal nasty jokes.
When I thought the things were happy and didn't know the sad or ugly stories behind them.
I want the innocence I had back then.
I always thought the saying "ignorance is bliss" was crazy thought.
Now, it's the only thing I'm truly happy to understand.
