Chilling Frost.
Have the birds gone yet?
did they leap from
muddy water
yet
and disturb
cold, placid lakes
in a hurry to escape
the chilling frost,
the snow.
I wish I had wings
to carry me away,
a hurry to escape your
chilling frost.
