Softly coos my heart
For a quietness that shuts the door to
All the maddening buzz
And transcends me back
To that frozen time
When she gazed into my eyes
And I could tell
Without really knowing it
That it was love in the purest form
That I know now
And would die to get back -
The love that sprung from the womb
And cradled me for life!
