The lady in red cried the other night
Didn’t want to be this way but wiped her cheeks dry
Told herself, “Tonight is the night I’d shine bright,
Like the stars and the pale moonlight.”

Put on the outfit that would rather leave her bear
Pull off a good show for all the men out there
Tonight is the night she’d shine
Brighter than the stars and the pale moonlight

The lady in red danced with the clouds
Higher she went as the music shook the ground
Tonight was the night she shined above the rest
As he touched her and said, “Darling, you’re the best.”
