Spring of April As winter’s footprints fade in the past And the tainted snow melts at last The spring of April makes its appearance Timidly at first, requesting its clearance As the cherry blossoms blush demurely And the delicate wind whispers so purely Reminiscent melodies serenade the breeze Scattering seeds of lilacs and daffodils with ease Perfumed scents of roses glow And tiny blades of green grass grow Seasonal creatures nest with care In the petals of peonies that fill the air Oh sweet lovely spring, you have arrived Uplifting our spirits which are now revived!
