BEAUTY
(Bijoylakshmi Das)
I will never possess Thee,
You are heavenly!
You long to soar higher
Beyond earthly limits
To Unknown Infinity
Of Felicity.
You are my Love,
You are my Life-
Not of wanton delight.
We are untorn pages of Eternity,
Unseen by blind eyes of humanity.
I leave you free
Forever free
From all worldly clasp
To live at ease
Your Soul's liberty.
To roam free on roads of life,
And enjoy and breathe around you -
The air of grace and dignity.
I love you to blossom
Into the greatest Beauty
Ever admirable
By heavenly angels,
I love you to blossom
Into a divine offering -
Of fulfilment and consecration of celestial summit.
Let none pick you up
And crush your infancy
Of innocence filled with joy and felicity.
Because,
Creation is always evolving if
Untouched by adulthood of hatred and jealousy.
You share your Bliss
With all
Unknown to ignorant minds who crave to possess Thee.

Beauty! You are pure and sanguine,
Your soft sweet footsteps
May enliven the tired brown body of Earth,
With the rapture of your unseen kiss
You alight here
In the murmer of the Zephyr
To herald the Golden Dawn of an unforgettable
Paradise of Union in the Infinite.
