Different Outlook

In the aftermath of

A spring rain

The world seems so

Dreary. But if you listen closely

You can hear the sounds

Of an awakening life.

Yes the ground is wet

And the clouds are still gray

Nevertheless, the grass I bet

Smells better than

The previous day.

The birds slowly

Start singing, the earth’s heart

Slowly starts beating,

And with it comes the

Promise of another

Perfect day.
