I pray for peace in the silence.

When tears stream down my lips,
I pray for peace in the silence.

When all seems lost,
And my heart is distraught,
I pray, for peace in the silence.

When grief - is a heavy weight,
And I can barely stay awake,
I bow my head, and quietly pray,
I pray, for peace in the silence.

Quivering, shivering,
Tossed by the ocean,
When drowned in my feelings,
And lost in emotion,
I pray, for peace, in the silence.

A body broken, beyond compare,
Living life, in deep despair,
Breathing, yet so far from living,
Stumbling, through life blindly,
Desperately searching, searching for rest,
I pray, for peace, in the silence.

With hurts, heavy for one to wear,
And burdens, which no one should ever bear,
I come before my Father above,
Down on my knees - sharing my heart,
Seeking His warmth - and feeling His love.
Before my Lord - still, in the dark,
I pray, for peace, in the silence.
