The forces of evil thought that they had won,
on the day they killed God's only Son.

The Heavenly hosts cried and mourned that day,
they saw the Lord Jesus being carried away.

On the third day Hell's joy turned to dread,
My Lord took the keys of hell n' arose from the dead.

He had paid the one price that the Father demanded,
precious blood was shed that sins might be ended.

He'd redeemed mankind n' given Eternal life,
by believing upon him, Peace would end strife.

I'm amazed that he loved one such as I,
tho the Prince of Peace, he was willing to die.

It is because of him that I am no longer lost,
He paid for my Salvation upon his ****** Cross.
