Once I thought that I could stand
without the help of any man.
Then my world came crashing in,
my hopes 'n dreams gone like the wind.

I met a friend who reminded me,
that Christ had died to set me free.
He gave me hope when I was lost,
because he died upon the cross.

He now lifts me up that I may sing,
the praise of my risen King.
He gave his all to set men free,
'n paid the price of grace for me.

He showed the way to be free from sin,
and gave me a reason to begin again.
Now I try to do what I can,
to help mankind to accept his plan.

He's coming back some day I know,
'n I must be ready with my Lord to go.
My cares and tears he'll wipe away,
and with my Master I'll forever stay.

Thank you Lord for being there for me,
'n paying the price on Calvary's tree.
Thank you Lord for completing God's plan,
for paying the Way of Salvation for man.
