IN SOLEMNITY OF LOVE
(Bijoylakshmi Das)
Wing my moments with Moon-clad hours -
I could fly to amorous heights of the aureate Blue,
Where sits my Sweetheart forever rapture -rapt
With sombre solemnity and magnificent hue.

The brooding rhapsody reigns over Mind's kingdom vast
The Solitude's expanse speaks of certitude's Grace,
With lovelit visage and smile sublime,
Sweet kisses in the Divine embrace.

The earthly toil dares not tread the Divine realm
Where dances the celestial Damsel with ceaseless mirth,
The mortal clasp and its sordid ties
Never ever dream to take the birth.

All is heavenly, ecstatic, Godhead's grandeur opens His way
The Brown's blossoms bare their bosoms
To get the touch of the Zephyrous joy.

The fleeting frailty falters no more
The One Alone is the sole Monarch sitting above,
The beatific Beatitude pours Beauty's elixir
To make it the Dreamland of surrealist Love.

To that oracular opulence of greater heights
My spirit within longs to soar,
The vaster kingdom beyond the Vast,
The larger Ocean beyond the
shoreless shore.

The Delight of sempiternal Truth ever awaits me,
To leave the body and live in Thee,
The SolaceΒ  resplendent's endless blithe -
Makes ME to be lost in love with YOU and YOU with ME.
