My Shadow That Dances For Fun

You’re always there in the golden pasture You’re image is there but is hard to capture One minute you’re there and you’re gone with the sun You’re like my shadow that dances for fun I like to think you’re there for my hope Without you I don’t think I could cope Whenever I’m lonely I come to you You always inspire me to do something new At times all you are is a lovely butterfly But then unexpectedly you’ll make me cry Your arms will reach out like a devil in disguise And then distract me from the real prize You can make me feel like nothing but dirt With lost dreams and hopes you only make me hurt I love you though for your truthfulness You never fail to strip me from my ludicrous You have power over all my decisions I hope you provide me with the right visions
