DARKLING

by @SheerTerror

death drives the dark fearless is site unseen seeks a wicked threshold catching sleep in between lost dreams and vague debris the momentum of obscurity to the snap of fingers an instant flicker turns the head movement jumps to flee catching the outline distinct against headlight beams the moving silhouette hanging from trees the swing of grief soon to seed the tears of misery bleeds sharp stabs seeking green a means plunging deep urging a pulse to beat so goes the steady stream growing tree to tree a sea of branches rises high to see beyond the leafs
