Reaching back,
Staring into forgotten memories.
Hidden by fatal mistake,
regret.
Watching the scene as if a movie.
Looking at yourself,
Walking in innocence.
Hands held high reaching for a savior.

A step back to a place now foreign.
A place you have turned your back to,
Without hesitation.
Holding onto memories in a clenched fist.
Head thrown back to scream,
Trying to release your sins.
But it's not that easy.
Behind you was home,
Hardly it at all.

Lost your home in a battle.
Rocking back and forth crying,
Wishing you were innocent.
Wishing you were home,
But your home wants you gone.
