The poet is a liar
All taunts and teachings aside
He'll fool you with the wording
That sounds so disconcerting
But happy he truly is inside

The poet is a lair
But you knew this from the start
Yet you see him here and there
And you always shed a tear
As if he's spoken from the heart

The poet is a lair
He'll pretend to be so cold
He'll convince you that he's lying
But really he is trying
To find the one who isn't sold
