i cannot give you more than me
humble and hunkered down,
i'm just a mangled heart, split
down the middle and
viewing the world through this dichromatic lens
but also
in technicolor,
and you're wearing a dream coat,
so let's spatter every surface
with saturated pastels,
and i hope you can fold your angelwings around me
even though this is my self,
unmasked and to the marrow,
stripped and cored for you,
i am all that i am.
