The people who present as clowns
At the circus
At a birthday party
Or in public
They all have secrets
They all have a dark memory
Some more than others
Some of them have been abused
Some have been scarred
But you will never know
You will only see a funny
Lovable person
Under that makeup
A clown is a person
They will want to be loved
So don't you discourage
And make them feel as though they are not worthy
Make them feel loved
Loved as loved could ever be.
