The way you looked at me.
The way you hugged me so tight.
The way you listen to me.
The way you would help me.
The way you laughed at my jokes.
The way you smiled when you were happy.
The way you love me and others.
The way you protected who you loved.
The way you would dance when your favorite song came on.
The way you would hold my hand.
The way you put me to sleep.
The way you walked through the door with a smile on your face.
The way you watched movies with me.
The way you cooked for me and others.
The way you would tell me you loved me.
The way you were so helpful to others.
The way your heart was so big to love.
The way you would read to me.
The way you made sure I was safe.
The way your doors were always open.

I truly never learned what the words I miss you were until I reached for your hand and it wasn't there.
