A cat is not a person

I wrap myself around my cat
An arm slung across her back
My cat purrs and tries to lick my arm
So I move my arm back

There is a warm body against me
But it’s not who I want
I don’t want just anybody
There is someone I want

A cat is a poor substitute for a boy
A boy or a man?
What do you call a teenager

It’s getting colder

Everywhere

Purr
Says my cat

I love you
Says the boy in my dreams

I don’t like you like that
Says the boy in reality

Well **** me
Says I
