My Light Of Day
The further that I keep going,
The further that I step away,
The more I go without knowing,
The more I'm losing my light of day.
The more you speak of hurt,
The things that I'll never say,
Leave them buried in the dirt,
The more I'm losing my light of day.
The shorter the distance to fall,
Nothing will cross my way,
No one listened when I called,
The more I'm losing my light of day.
The impact had torn us apart,
Why couldn't you just stay,
The concrete has stopped my heart,
I lost you, my light of day.
If you had held my hand,
When you looked into my eyes,
And told me you understand,
Maybe, you could've saved my life.
