1 - Coming Home
You can see the smile of his tiny face already
Before the door has been pushed to;
Feel its cooling warmth.
His ears are up, silken with chocolate velvet
Dependable amber lamps beam at you
Lit delicately
Eitherside a perfect, blackened nose.

#2 - Back From a Walk**
Garbed in the dirt of the arduous chore
Head to paw
Contemptuous smudgy cartouches;
A sickening brown on the cold floor
The chore continues, it unravels
He remains a flaky, filthy burden.
