affliction
outweighs the contender
a hand on destruction
perfect and clear
an impulse pure
swallowed in seditions core
the gun on your temple
is a pulled trigger
blood rushing your ear
that is simple fear
a surrender of hope
the place called “live” harder
runs the faithful beating heart
pressing meaner
the sound of silence humbles
a suffocating will
stands over fearsome
reveals an impassable barrier
to shade the way
stumbling through obscurity
jaws grind slowly
the mass devours
dragging a burden
hope cradled with belief
life swings at the winds mercy
hitting ground to sky
tossed about neglected remedy
crawl or learn to fly
