If I could walk with you along a moonlit shore,
And see the starshine on your perfumed hair,
Surely my heart and soul on angel wings would soar
To be so close to one so fine and fair.
The sea would sigh and murmur on that ancient sand
Singing a song of love and deep desire
Trembling I would reach to touch your hand
Burning inside my head with Cupid's fire.
Such timeless, endless mystery shrouds the restless sea.
The stars in their multitudes eternity transcend.
If I were brave enough I'd hold you close to me
And wish this wondrous, magic night would never end
