A year has passed
So here's to you
I'll raise this glass
And drink it through

I'll find solace in Summer
When the Sun frees Her rays
On my porcelain skin
'tis my heart's favourite days

The sweet, mellow sound of your laughter will drown
In a sea of salt and dead memories
That sweet, mellow sound

I'll find solace in Winter
May Her clouds fill with rain
Her cold lips kiss my cheek
My skin stays the same

The dark, shallow scent of your body will fade
Yet the humid wet scent of cement
Will remain

I'll find solace in Autumn
Cherry blossoms and dreams
Birds sing their good news
Music flows like a stream

The heart-stopping touch of your hands on my skin
I'll forget it as soon
As this wine's kicking in

I'll find solace in Spring
Flowers bloom their bright hues
I'll watch swallows dancing
Oh idleness, I've nothing to lose

The bittersweet taste of your lips I'll find
Easy to regret
For wanton ways start with the lips
Then transpose to another set

So a full twelve months has come to pass
One season at a time
Yet the only thing my heart still clasps
Is your eyes
A reflection of mine
