You are a powerless, finite, noncognitive human being, and it is up to you to cause effects/affects in your experiences which you are in control of, which are valued/valuable to you. That includes responsibility for those values, and mindfulness of them; really, who else could cause that? Who else experiences value in the way you do? That is our freedom and our prison.
