A Demon In the Flames.
In the flames I see
The faces of a demon.
A ****** soul,
Terrorized and screaming.
Monster is freed,
It’s appearance is deceiving .
For in the flames
I see the faces of a demon.
As it escapes
Onto this mortal plane,
The hunt begins anew.
Who’s being hunted?
The demon or you?
What will you do?
Send the demon back
To hell from whence it came.
Who released it, who’s to blame?
A figure decked in black,
Laughing from his throne.
“You think you’ve won,
You think it’s gone,”
Laughs the figure
On its throne.
“The demon is one
Of your own creation.
Brought about by
Arrogance and delusion.”
“It has your scent,
It will return for you.
It will destroy your life,
And leave you all alone.”
In the flames I saw
The faces of a demon.
My own reflection,
Broken and defeated.
My own face became
The face of the demon.
