Broken things
A clock that doesn't tick
A bell that doesn't ring
A memory forgotten and
A bird that fails to sing
A torch that's made of darkness
A heart that's broke in two
Me without you by my side
and a friend that isn't true
Love that's made of anger
A house that's not a home
A flower without petals
and a scholar with no tome
A king without his people
A life without its loss
A window dark as midnight
and a garden lacking moss
And well we may seem broken
And gone beyond repair
As long as you are with me
being broken I can bear.
Written instead of doing homework.
