Pandora’s box came to life by text
lovers enter twined yet hardly met
Secrets shared day by day
making shadows closer to a dance
Each night the box opened slightly

Neither aware the box was near
caught up in happiness and desire
Never wanting their nights to expire
the  box demand to play
Planning distraction and heartbreak
Lovers powerless against the attack

The lovers were ripped and pulled apart
until one did not know the other
Their happiness stopped each drifted apart
The box felt power gods once bestowed inside
Thinking it had won a battle for its treasures

Never knowing the lovers never abandoned each other
always searching for what was lost
Many faces were looked upon and never  trusted
secrets can be shared with very few
One Fall day they found each other worried about time lost
they looked in each other’s eyes and found a friend not the lover

The box separated lovers without a thought
but worse separated and destroyed a friendship closer than most
Never knowing what their friendship could’ve been or how far it could’ve gone
They were torn apart banished from the other
Each knowing something was missing they would have never looked for the other

Finding the face of the other who holds the secrets of their life
