Stringing along a line of pretty souls
Trying to keep me company throughout the days & nights
Going nowhere, but towards destined dead ends
Enjoying the short-lived rides while they last

You can either blame, tame, or betray me
I deserve all you think I should receive
For I'm in shackles already with nowhere to go
Heading south faster & faster without resistance

Maybe I enjoy being lost
Without swimming too deep
Staying afloat, yet still drowning
Maybe I prefer keeping myself in the dark
For I have found home amongst the shadows
My darkly sweetened safe haven
