bubonique
words spill out of your mouth
like bouquets of the most
wild flowers…
& yet you stand before me
with your hands stretched
reaching out…
you want me to be delighted
by this gift of earthly
laughter?
no, for flowers & anything
else you could find the
words for…
will one day perish
will one day wilt away
in quiet way…
despite,
despite, it all.
