Betrothed to Sadness

by Bkc2u71

Your mood rippled across the room, my confession of love came way too soon. How do I compose words to describe, the beauty behind those saddened eyes. She said her happiness was not meant to be, nothing I said or did could set her free. She said her leaving was never my fault, just another notch upon her hearts vault. Deep down I knew she would never stay, so I watched her slowly walk away. ©
