Crowding people loom like trees
A look of pity, breath catches heart stops,
then speeds
Ba-***, ba-***, ba-***, ba-***
Thoughts swirl and swirl around and around
Silence bears over muted voices
Turning, world shifts, you’re walking, now running
Twist, turn, the dark encroaches, falling
And then only
Silence
