This earth that we walk upon
borrowed from another’s future
so fragile and we can’t go on
turning it into a sewer.

Take the land and treat it well
Let it thrive and flourish,
Hope not for the tolling bell
a signal, as the last perish

The seed of life cannot be burned
It’s something we must relish
Its in our hands to save this world
It should be theirs to cherish

Lay your sweetness on my land
A thing we must do now
Keep the grass from becoming sand
for the future we will plough

You learn to reap what you have sown,
Just as the old song says
so nurture and treat and care for the growth
ensure generations care
