I love you, but I cannot

I love you, but I cannot

The gap is great between us.

It's grieving me in my heart

To have you in my mind lost.

The first day that we two met

Was one of my happiest.

My spirits, it jumped in mirth

To have a glimse of your face.

Back then, I've been wondering

What else could we two become?

But the truth keeps reminding

We two as friends, that is all.

I love you, but I cannot

This I ever sacrifice.

If we shall meet in that land

I shall give you loving kiss.
