Laying awake at night for what’s etched in your skin as eternity, your chest rests weightless from the depths of the abyss that festers there. Tears gently caress your check yet, you feel nothing of sorrow. While your mind draws blank, you’re sliding down the sidewalks of darkness. Slipping off the edge in repressed shock, you plummet to the bottom.

No love will catch your fall. You’re watching yourself from the outside in, anticipating the inevitable impact that will show no mercy, casting aside mangled bones & lifeless eyes. Motionless in bed you burn your energy with a roaring flame desperately clinging onto the cliff, fighting to climb out from this paralyzing nightmare.

Your gasping breathes & petrified pounds of your heartbeat dull the static in your head. Your eyes dry slowly while the thoughts lost in time flood your mind; the bottom of the abyss cracks & the oit of reach feelings erupt from the prison in your soul.

Through the night your heart was lost in a sea of absence, your body lifeless but, through death you’re born anew.
