If time shall prove you breathe whilst I cannot
And that same gentled breath need mourn for me;
Then tear me far from soil, for there I'm not.
But where your tears of love had come to be;
As there I'll swim to ease the pain of love
For love had once to flow, but then to cry,
Seek not my soul from ever skies above
As you I've loved and there I'll live to die.
Yet if you doubt my presence, dream the time;
When younger eyes had met with younger days
And I will whisper mine in sweetest rhyme
'My love in daze as first we were to gaze'.

I'll drown a thousand deaths in thousand tears
But soon you'll know, my love outlasts the years.
