23rd January.
Today’s your birthday -

Twenty years of Tay,
You started off so far away,
In South Africa your life was formed,
And now it’s been completely transformed.

I’m thinking of you ten years ago,
Moving away from your place called home,
Feeling how scared you must have felt,
But sure, look at the hand you've been dealt...

You've traveled the world with your eyes open wide,
Which I’m so happy to have been by your side,
Twenty years old now no longer a teen,
What a beautiful woman nothing less than a queen.

Away you go again for your next exciting step,
Responsibilities, a house, oh and maybe some debt ,
You’ll have the best time I know it’s for sure,
And if you ever need me I’ll be at your door.

Never forget the memories you hold,
Because they are the things that make us happy and bold,
Have strength to endure whatever life throws,
You’re destined for great things wherever it goes,

Take today to celebrate growing wise,
With cake, presents, laughter and surprise,
Close your eyes for your birthday wish,
And I’ll be sending you a birthday kiss.
