Everything seemed just right
I made him my whole life
Now I’m questioning why
After I caught him in a lie

I said he had to be joking
Thought I had his devotion
I was under his potent potion
He played with my emotions
Causing all kinds of commotion
Guess I never really did know him
Now to move on, I must be open

What a slap in the face that day
Realizing things would never be the same
I thought we were brought together by fate
Now I’m regretting ever seeing his face

I said he had to be joking
Thought I had his devotion
I was under his potent potion
He played with my emotions
Causing all kinds of commotion
Guess I never really did know him
Now to move on, I must be open

Thought, you’re kidding right
But jokes on me this time

I said he had to be joking
Thought I had his devotion
I was under his potent potion
He played with my emotions
Causing all kinds of commotion
Guess I never really did know him
Now to move on, I must be open
