Ghosts that once haunted me
Have vaporized away
When we laid in the sun
On that sunny day
Next to the lake at Promisedland
We watched boats row by
And I packed a basket with roses and the sweetest wine
And when you looked at me a certain way
I knew you were mine

We read each other poetry from
A collected poetry book
And I knew I found the soul for me
When you gave me that warm look

Laying on a blanket, reading and passing time
Under the sun with full bellies on delicious foods, fruits, and wine
I'd choose no one else, my dear,
But you to be mine
