i could write novels

about the spaces in between

what i know how to explain;

about the way you move

or the way your voice sounds

to my eardrum at 1:30 am

i could write so many poems

about everything that you are

and everything that we are in this moment

but all i have are these tiny words

and sad cliches to get me by

and that's not enough.
