I remember.
The desperate look in his eyes when he glances in her direction
The frown now permanently marked upon his face
He is lost in a sea of black
Ink spilling over his shoulders as he fights to stay above
She’s swimming away, to save herself, but leaving him behind
His raw voice shouting at her, drowned out by the crashing waves
I watch as he sinks down and down
The water ******* the air out of his lungs
And he grows cold.
