Carelessly he speaks too me , no love to guide my day ,  empty are the eyes I meet hollow in his gaze , blinded by his solitude, his youth has left him bare, captive by his memories though none of them he shares. “Daddy I am sorry you are a broken man “, and I know that if you spoke to me you’d say “you’ve done the best you can “. So here I stand a childlike stare , not knowing what to do , but I’m sure that if you’d taught me how , I’d say that “I love you “.
